Types of Retainers: ESSIX, Hawley, Permanent, or Vivera?
Hawley Retainers
Made from a combination of metal wires and a durable acrylic base, Hawley retainers are custom-fitted to each patient’s mouth to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. The metal wire sits along the front of the teeth, while the acrylic portion rests against the roof of the mouth or along the inside of the lower jaw.
